Torroella
The ancient castle of Torroella dates from 1130. It is now a fortified manor house built in the 15th-16th centuries. It belonged to the Manlleu family and was transferred to the Bishopric of Vic in 1203. The stones are laid in a herringbone pattern, which still prevailed in Osona in the 11th century. At present the manor house consists of a farmhouse, a mill, La Telleda country estate and a chapel dedicated to St. Anthony the Abbot.
The chapel dates back to 1609. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a historicist building, with Gothic and Romanesque elements, typical of Catalan Modernism. The chapel is in perfect condition and can still hold religious services.
