· Ancient Sagrera
La sagrera (the holy area around the church where wine and
silos for the cereals were stored) is surrounded by walls from
the 12th to the 15th century and still keeps a disposition centred
around the church with ancient houses decorated with windows from
the 13th to the 16th century (some of the oldest have been moved
to the Sorts' Aristocratic House, near the village).
· Santa
Maria's Parish Church
Romanesque building with its west part enlarged and its interior turned into
Baroque during the 18th century. It has a remarkable belfry from the 12th century
crowned with battlements in 1416.
· Sant Mamet's Chapel
Romanesque building rebuilt during the 13th century. There was worship until
1936 and it depended on the Parish Church of Balenyà.
· Figueroles House
It is a Gothic country house with Romanesque roots. It has a defence tower from
the 16th century and a Romanesque chapel.
· Esparreguera
Castle
It remains four walls as high as a storey of the ancient castle. |
