· Santa
Maria de l'Ajuda's Shrine
In the old days, it was called Sant Fruitós de Balenyà's Church.
It is a Romanesque construction built in 1083 that only keeps some walls of the
nave and a part of the belfry, which was raised up during the 15th century adding
a Gothic floor. The church was enlarged with a Baroque-Art Nouveau façade
in the 17th century, which was raised and modified in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The church has in front a municipal district cross forged in 1695 and a comunidor
(a little construction used for protection ceremonies and for warding the
storms off) near the church.
