Rural
municipality formed by several masies (traditional Catalan
farm buildings) and a tiny village in the northwest sector
of the Massif of Montseny. It is a place for rambling and to get
to the Matagalls' Peak and to the plain called Pla de la Calma
through Collformic, at an altitude of 1145 metres.
It is a place almost hidden, of a moderate climate, so that second houses were
built around. Because of the great variety of altitudes and its complicated orographic
system, we find a great diversity of climates and vegetations.
The historical centre is the Sant Martí del Brull's Church, situated at
the foot of the remains of the Brull's Castle. We also have to stand out the
great masies (traditional Catalan farm buildings) as Casademunt and the
prehistorical site of Montgròs. All this variety gives the village cultural
and landscape diversity, where the visitor can follow infinite nature routes
that go into the Natural Park of Montseny.
